Police Make Multiple Gun Arrests During Music Video Shoot at Providence Elementary School

Providence police arrested two individuals and apprehended two others, including a juvenile, for allegedly illegally possessing guns — while shooting a music video at a Providence elementary school.

GET THE LATEST BREAKING NEWS HERE -- SIGN UP FOR GOLOCAL FREE DAILY EBLASTOn Sunday shortly after 11 PM, police said they were made aware that multiple individuals were shooting a music video at Carnevale Elementary School at 50 Springfield Street while in possession of guns.
Upon arrival, police said they saw five people near a vehicle — who all then began to run when they saw police.
Police said they apprehended Jose Rodriguez, age 20, who they knew from previous firearms charges. According to police, Rodriguez said he had “gotten rid” of his gun, which police found nearby, with live rounds in a magazine.
According to police, a second suspect, identified as William Segbeyan, age 23, was pursued by officers through the parking lot, at which time police said they saw him toss a firearm onto the roof of the school.
He was apprehended without further incident.
A third suspect was apprehended after getting back into a vehicle; and a fourth suspect — a juvenile male — was also detained before being released to a parent.
Police say the juvenile was in possession of a camera being used to shoot the video.
The Providence Fire Department was called to the scene, at which time the gun allegedly tossed by Segbeyan was retrieved by ladder from the school roof.
It was identified as a ghost gun with a magazine with live rounds.
Rodriguez and Segbeyan were held and are facing multiple firearms charges.
