“Providence College is disappointed in the language used by one of the performers at Saturday's Late Night Madness show at the Dunkin' Donuts Center," said PC spokesperson Steve Maurano on Tuesday.
He sent the following statement:
The College has contracted relationships with its performers that those performers will be clean and not use profanity or other inappropriate language during their shows.
Unfortunately, and despite assurances in this instance, the performer in question did not meet his obligation. Providence College never would have invited this performer had we not been reassured he could deliver a performance that was within the bounds of the contract.
We apologize to anyone who was offended, and we are taking steps to prevent this type of occurrence from happening again at future events.”
