On July 28, 2025 Dandrea surrendered to North Providence Police to face a charge of poisoning — a felony.

Court records show that on January 27, 2026, Dandrea was arraigned before Judge Patrick Burke and pleaded not guilty.

He was given a no-contact order, and a pre-trial conference is scheduled for February 25, 2026.

According to Attorney General Peter Neronha's spokesperson, Timothy Rondeau, "Following an investigation, our Office filed an information packet with the Court on November 5, 2025 and a pre-arraignment conference was held on November 21. The Court continued the arraignment date twice, and the defendant was arraigned on January 27."

About Allegations

As GoLocal previously reported about the incident :

Automobile window wash fluid is typically made with methanol, which can be toxic and potentially lethal.

Multiple workers reportedly looked on while the fluid was replaced in the bottle.

Later that day, when the worker returned to the office and unknowingly drank the window wash fluid, he reportedly became ill and was hospitalized twice due to the poisoning.

Dandrea was hired by North Providence while on bail for serious federal charges.

“I find this situation deeply disturbing. I was not aware that Alessio Dandrea had been hired or was working for the Town in any capacity," Town Council President Dino Autiello told GoLocal at the time
