NEW: Son Charged in Father’s Stabbing Death, According to Police

A son is facing domestic homicide charges after his father was stabbed and killed in North Providence.
According to the North Providence Police, on March 19, 2019, at approximately 5:00 PM, the North Providence Police and Fire Departments responded to 8 Gale Court in response to a call about an unresponsive male.
Police and Fire Department personnel arrived and entered the property. They located a male who was unresponsive and appeared to have been stabbed with a sharp instrument. This male was determined to be deceased. The deceased male has been identified as Clark Murray Sr. (age 70) of 8 Gale Court in North Providence, RI.

Officers observed this male in the process of removing a knife from his wound. This male has been identified as Clark Murray Jr. (age 40) of 8 Gale Court in North Providence, RI.
Fire Department personnel transported Clark Murray Jr. to RI Hospital where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
Witness Provides Statement
The person who notified the police was interviewed. She stated that she entered the residence and found Clark Murray Sr. unresponsive on the main level of the home. Clark Murray Jr. was present in the residence at the time.
The caller retreated from the home and contacted public safety personnel. When public safety personnel arrived the front door was locked and forced entry was required. Preliminary information suggests that there is no evidence to believe that any suspect(s) are at large at this time.
Clark Murray Jr. is currently under police guard at RI Hospital. He is facing Domestic Homicide charges.
