Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo is currently the most unpopular governor in the country, according to the latest Morning Consult survey.

With an approval rating of 36% and disapproval rating of 56%, Raimondo tops the list of “most unpopular” governors, ahead of Matt Bevin of Kentucky, and Kate Brown of Oregon.

“The most popular and unpopular governors are respectively determined by total approval and total disapproval, with net approval (approval minus disapproval) serving as the tiebreaker,” says Morning Consult of their quarterly rankings.

“@CharlieBakerMA and @GovLarryHogan retain their sports atop our GOVERNOR APPROVAL RANKINGS, while @GinaRaimondo has usurped Matt Bevin as the nation's most unpopular governor,” Morning Consult Tweeted Thursday morning.

From 2 to 1

In July, GoLocalProv.com reported that Raimondo — for the second quarter of 2019 — was ranked the second most unpopular governor.

As GoLocal reported.

For the second quarter in 2019, Raimondo has an approval rating of just 38% and a disapproval rating of 55%.

This latest ranking comes after Rhode Island was ranked as the worst state in the country for business by CNBC.

The DCYF Director resigned amidst dysfunction, the education system in tatters, and now the healthcare merger Raimondo was trying to broker collapsed.
