Police Investigating Report of Armed Robbery at Gunpoint on Federal Hill

Providence Police responded to a report of a robbery at gunpoint on Federal Hill early Saturday morning.
Police responded shortly before 6 AM to 333 Atwells Avenue, where they met with a victim with a bloody nose — who refused rescue.

He stated a second male pointed a black handgun at him and one of the subjects stole his backpack and fled down Sutton Street.
The victim described the male with the handgun as a white male wearing a maroon hoodie and a surgical mask. He stated that the male that punched him was a heavy set Hispanic male wearing all black and a surgical mask.
He could not provide police with any further detail regarding the suspects.
The backpack that was stolen was described as a grey backpack with “I love Holly” written on it along with six hearts. Irwin stated that the backpack contained Methadone, Gabapentin and red sunglasses.
Police canvassed the area to no avail.
