NEW: Gas Prices Up 4 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up four cents this week, the third consecutive week of increases, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s January 16 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.48 per gallon, four cents higher than last week and 13 cents more than at the start of the new year. The current price is ten cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.38. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was$3.18.
