NEW: Gas Prices Up 3 Cents

Gasoline prices in Rhode Island are up three cents this week, the tenth consecutive week of increases, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s March 5 survey of prices in Rhode Island found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.80 per gallon, three cents higher than last week. Prices locally are up 22 cents over the last month.

The current price is four cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.76. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $3.51.
