NEW: Gas Prices Down Again

The downward spiral of gasoline prices in Rhode Island continues, according to AAA Southern New England.

AAA’s October 11 survey of prices in Rhode Island finds self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $3.54 per gallon, down 4 cents from last week, and down twenty cents from a month ago. The current price is fifteen cents above the national average for regular unleaded of $3.39. A year ago at this time Rhode Island’s average price was $2.80—74 cents lower than today’s numbers.

The range in prices in the latest local AAA survey for unleaded regular is 42 cents, from a low of $3.429 to a high of $3.849.
