A Federal Judge denied Jeffrey Epstein bail on Thursday.

A federal judge in New York orders Jeffrey Epstein held with bail on Thursday, meaning he must remain in prison until his trial.

According to U.S. District Judge Richard Berman, prosecutors showed “clear and convincing evidence” that Epstein was a flight risk.

Previously, the defense proposed a $77 million bail package, with collaterals that included Epstein’s private jet and New York mansion.

Epstein’s charges

As GoLocalProv reported, Epstein was arrested on July 6 and accused of running a sex-trafficking operation that lured dozens of underage girls, some as young as 14, to his Upper East Side home and to a mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.

He faces up to 45 years in prison.
