UPDATED: Dr. Tad Arrested for Practicing Acupuncture Without a License

Sztykowski, 62, is the owner of the Center of Integrative Medicine and Healing in Providence.
The arrest comes two years after RI Health forced Sztykowski to surrender his medical license for multiple violations, as GoLocalProv reported in June of 2017.

“This is an on-going investigation with regards to a practitioner practicing without a license and how patients were billed at this establishment,” said State Police Detective Commander Major Timothy Sanzi.
State Police are asking anyone with additional information regarding the Center for Integrative Medicine and Healing can contact the Rhode Island State Police Major Crimes Unit at 401-764-0142.
The Arrest
According to the Rhode Island State Police, in September 2019, after receiving a complaint from the Rhode Island Department of Health, the Rhode Island State Police Major Crimes Unit investigated an allegation that Sztykowski was performing acupuncture services on patients without a license.
The investigation resulted in the arrest of Sztykowski and a search warrant was conducted at the Center for Integrative Medicine and Healing located at 191 Nashua St.
He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
