NEW: Central Falls Mayor Charles Moreau Resigns

Central Falls Mayor Charles Moreau has resigned ahead of a press conference called by the U.S. Attorney’s office set for this afternoon.
Moreau’s resignation was first reported by WJAR-10.
Moreau has been under investigation since 2010 after reports surfaced that he had give a no-bid contract in exchange for having a boiler installed in his home.

The Associated Press is reporting that Moreau will plead guilty to federal corruption charges.
