RIDOH's Action

In its ruling, RIDOH wrote it believed Gray was practicing massage in violation of state laws -- as well as the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork's "Code of Ethics."

According to RIDOH:

"On or about May 22, 2023, RIDOH received notice that Respondent, while engaged in the practice of massage therapy, sucked on the nipples of and digitally penetrated the vagina of Patient A.

The Director of RIDOH has reviewed the facts and conclusions in this case and further finds that public health, safety, or welfare imperatively requires emergency action."

RIDOH suspended Gray’s license on Thursday, stating the course of action that he is allowed to now take.

"Based on the foregoing and pursuant to R. I. Gen. Laws...the License is hereby SUSPENDED, pending further investigation and hearing, for a period of ninety (90) days, or until further Order of RIDOH.

A written request for hearing may be filed with the Director of Health within ten (10) days after service of this Summary Suspension. If a hearing is requested and held, an Administrative Hearing Officer shall preside over such hearing. As a result of the hearing, discipline may be imposed, up to and including revocation."

AIM Health told GoLocal on Friday that Gray is no longer with the company. He has not worked for that company since November of 2022. The company says the incident did not occur at one of there facilities.

Gray did not respond to request for comment.
