The Rhode Island Department of Health announced 76 new positive Coronavirus cases in the state, bringing RI’s total now to 18,062.
As GoLocal has reported, there has been a significant delay — and backlog — in testing in nursing homes and across the state.

There was 1 additional fatality recorded by the state as being due to COVID-19, bringing the state total to 997.
Currently, there are 67 hospitalizations, with 5 people in the ICU and 3 on ventilators.
