Man Arrested After Off-Campus Providence College Students Reported Multiple Break-Ins

A man was arrested this week after Providence College students -- living just off-campus on Eaton Street -- reported multiple break-ins. 

About Incidents

PC's Office of Public Security provided the following notification to the community:

"On Saturday, March 26, at 4:32 PM and Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 12:52 PM, separate reports were made by student residents of 31 Eaton Street. and 39 Eaton Street to the Providence Police Department notifying the police that their residences had been entered into by an unknown intruder(s). 

On Tuesday, March 29, residents of 31 Eaton Street, contacted police and the Office of Public Safety and reported that two male individuals were caught on video at about 6 AM, in their backyard, checking car doors, and tampering with a basement window. 

Additional video was provided to public safety officers that captured the same subjects above at about 1 AM, in the rear of 51 Eaton Street and that matched the description of the individuals involved in the above incidents. 

On Tuesday, March 29, at about 1 PM, Providence Police Officers arrested a subject involved in the above crimes. 

Police are further investigating if this subject is responsible for other unsolved crimes in the area."
