Late-Night Crash on Atwells Avenue on Federal Hill Sends 3 to Hospital

A two-car accident occurred Wednesday night on Atwells Avenue in Providence.
According to witness Mike White, who took photos of the aftermath, several people were taken away in ambulances.

"The Honda was pulling out of Acorn Street and the pick-up was heading west on Atwells Avenue. Three [people] went to the hospital," said White.
Latest on the Hill
In April, the iconic fountain at DePasquale Square on Federal Hill was significantly damaged by a hit-and-run driver.
White as on the scene for that accident as well.
"The idiot who hit the fountain and took off forgot his bumper and it had his Massachusetts plate on it,” said White. “So when the police dispatch asked if I got the plate — I said yes, I’ve got the plate — in my hands.”
