Groundbreaking for South Street Landing Held on Monday
Tuesday, December 16, 2014
Governor Lincoln D. Chafee, Senator Jack Reed, Mayor Angel Taveras, Brown University President Christina Paxson, Rhode Island College President Nancy Carriuolo and University of Rhode Island President David Dooley joined developer Richard Galvin and other dignitaries for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the South Street Landing Project on Monday, December 15, 2014.
The multi-million dollar project will be a new home to a Rhode Island nursing education Center, Brown University offices and graduate student housing as well as a parking garage.
The new building will be located at the site of the former South Street power station on Eddy street in Providence.
