Fighting Poverty With Faith Conference Slated for May

The Rhode Island Interfaith Coalition is hosting its third annual One Voice to Reduce Poverty Conference on Tuesday, May 3.
The focus of this year’s conference is “The Faces of Poverty,” and the keynote speaker is Reverend Michael Livingston, Executive Director of Poverty Initiative of the National Council of Churches.
The conference begins with a breakfast with a Study on Prophetic Leadership. Then the program begins, including a panel with state human services officials and a discussion on the state of poverty in Rhode Island.
