FBI Now on Federal Hill: Bank Heist Reported to Be Close to $500K

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are now on Federal Hill in Providence following a bank heist overnight.
As GoLocal reported Thursday morning, the Santander Bank located at 280 Atwells was broken into shortly after midnight.
Federal authorities are now estimating the heist was close to a half million dollars.

Providence Police and FBI agents have been canvassing the area on Federal Hill; Acting Providence Police Chief Kevin Lanni has been at the scene.
The bank branch is currently closed to customers as the investigation continues.
