City Council Candidate Blasts GoLocal for Asking What the Providence Budget Is
Each of the candidates was asked the same questions, and one of the questions was, "What is the city's budget?"
The Second Ward is by far the city’s most wealthy, as it encompasses the Blackstone Boulevard area, Wayland Square, and much of College Hill.

“Offhand, I do not know. I would have to look back. They are tricky. That is a trick question,” said Davidson.
GoLocal responded, “That wasn't that tricky. It is the budget.”
Doubling Back, Claim of "Gotcha"
Later, at the end of the interview, as the call was concluding, Davidson doubled back and wanted to revisit the budget issue.
“By the way, I want to revise an answer because I don’t love gotcha questions, when I am in the middle of something else - it is $624 million.”
“I have to tell you that was unfair. I work full-time…if you want to ask a budget question, go ahead, I think it is cheap. And it will make me think twice about taking a call like this again," said Davidson.
GoLocal reiterated that everyone was asked the same questions.
“Terrific, I appreciate that and I hope that they were able to respond, we should all be that well informed,” said Davidson.
“I don’t like being caught on mistakes, that is something that is just a factual thing that anybody can check in two seconds,” she added and ended the call.
