UPDATED: Police Standoff Ends in Warren

A police standoff in Warren has ended with one man in custody and no injuries.

The Warren Police Department has surrounded a home on Warren Avenue on Tuesday morning.

The early morning incident was ongoing as of 9 AM.
The SWAT team and an armored vehicle are now on site according to at least one witness.
Chief Roy Borges was not available and the department said they have “no comment.”

As GoLocal reported in September 2021, the Assistant Fire Chief was killed in a shooting in Warren.
Two men in Warren were shot in Warren on Thursday -- and the suspect in the shooting died shortly after.
According to sources, the incidents happened in the vicinity of Main Street and Water Street.
GoLocal learned soon following that one of the victims, Assistant Fire Chief Brian Remy, was killed at the Italo-American Club, and another man was injured.
