Body Found on Warren Shoreline

Warren Police announced on Monday afternoon that the Department received a call for a report of an unresponsive individual in the Warren River by the shoreline.

 

“Upon officers responding to the area behind the Warren town docks off of Water Street, a white male in his 50’s was located and confirmed to be deceased. With the assistance of the Warren Fire Department, the male was recovered,” said Warren Police in a statement

According to Warren Police, the Rhode Island State Medical Examiner’s Office was contacted and later responded to the scene and took custody of the decedent. At this time, the cause of death has not been determined.

 

Warren Police Detectives, along with the Medical Examiner’s Office, are conducting the investigation.

 

While the identity of the deceased male is known, it is currently not being released pending notification to the next of kin.
