VIDEO: Storm Brings Flash Flooding to Newport and Hail to South County

A fast-moving storm brought flooding — and hail — to parts of Rhode Island on Tuesday.
In Newport, Tim Walsh with Discover Newport posted photos from his office by the Marriott and Cardines Field.

“Never seen flooding so fast and deep,” said Walsh.
“Notice the blue bin floating through the intersection and then the car stalls at the intersection,” he added.
Large Hail in July
In South Kingstown, near URI, Robert Sweeney posted photos of large hail.
