21-Year-Old National Guardsman From Dighton Tied to Docs Leak Arrested, US Attorney General Confirms

Jack Teixeira, a 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guardsman from Dighton, MA, has been arrested in connection with a leak of highly classified documents.
Federal agents took Teixeira into custody at his home on Thursday afternoon.

The Washington Post reported on Wednesday that an individual came forward and said Teixeira distributed the documents via an online gaming group.
U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland confirmed in a press conference on Thursday afternoon Teixeira’s arrest in connection with the “investigation into alleged unauthorized removal, retention and transmission of classified national defense information.”
