13-Year-Old Girl Reports Being Groped Walking to School in Providence

A 13-year-old girl told police she was accosted and groped on the way to school in Providence.
Police say the incident took place Thursday morning by Donigan Park off of Valley Street and a block from Atwells Avenue.
“The girl was able to escape," said Providence Police Major David Lapatin, who added she was taken to Hasbro Children’s Hospital for a routine follow-up.

Detectives are currently investigating.
