LIVE: Upcoming Theater Hair & Wig Workshop with Artisan Christofferson

Resident Hair and Wig Artisan for Trinity Repertory Company, Emily Christofferson, needs to utilize a broad range of skills for her job - including knowledge of historical hair design, hair styling techniques, and wig upkeep - and she’ll share her knowledge this weekend in a workshop for the “Hairbrained” program at The Providence Public Library called “Historical Wigs and Hair for Theater." 

The workshop will take place at Trinity Rep, where she’ll take guests inside her workshop to explain how she creates and designs historical hairdos for various productions at the theater. 

Christofferson, who is trained in wig making, will also show how she creates custom wigs for Trinity, with each wig requiring up to 20-40 hours to hand tie.
