LIVE: Singer Frenchie Davis on Her RI Pride Performance

Frenchie Davis
Broadway performer and American Idol / The Voice alum, Frenchie Davis, is often outspoken and unapologetic about the causes she believes in. She appeared on GoLocal LIVE on Tuesday with Ava Gaudet and will be coming to Providence this weekend.

The singer balances her career and role as a community activist by using her voice for performance and to speak out against inequality.

Davis, who is on the National Advisory Board for Human Rights Campaigns, has made equality on college campuses her recent focus.

She appeared in the off-broadway production of the new musical “The View Upstairs," about a 1973 attack on a gay club in New Orleans during a pride celebration, a story she says, that impacted her greatly.

Davis will perform at the Pre-Pride Party at The Village in Providence on Friday, June 16.
