LIVE: Johnny Gates Talks The Voice Battle, iTunes and Celine Dion

West Warwick native Johnny Gates made it through the battle round on NBC’s The Voice by stripping apart and reassembling Celine Dion’s “I Drove All Night”.  Gate’s said he decided to do a duo with challenger, and now friend  Sammie Zonana. Gates says he  can’t even describe how crazy of a moment it was to sing in front of  guest coach Celine Dion. 

Gates says he was flipping out to see his music on the iTunes charts and would like to see it the song go to number one.

He says the knock out rounds come next, and while he can’t say much, he is going try and showcase more of his vocal talent.
