RI GOP Needs to Go Through a Cultural Change Says Former Republican Candidate Wadensten on LIVE

“The GOP had their clock cleaned basically,” said Wadensten. “It’s not a bad thing it’s not a good thing..but it’s a defining moment for them to reflect on what do we want to be. I think what [the GOP] missed is maybe the voice of the people — and the customers being the voters of Rhode Island.”
“The RI GOP really needs to go through a cultural change,” said Wadensten. “A lot of the U.S. doesn’t care about Rhode Island and we care deeply. Remember, Rhode Island was founded on the “lively experiment.”
“As you rebuild it, are you going to to take it from the fundamentals and realize that the RI GOP has some real basic issue that they need to address? They need to have an emotional connection from all the people that are part [who] have to have a cohesive voice,” said Wadensten.
Wadensten spoke to what he views is needed for leadership across the state, including the involvement of candidates who might not have been successful this cycle — and more.
