Building Enclosure Science’s Antone Discusses Transforming Buildings for Greater ROI

Charles Antone, the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer for Building Enclosure Science (BES) joined GoLocal LIVE’s Business Monday to discuss the growth of his company and the development of a new industry.

BES is a national construction consulting firm based in Providence and works with many of the leading building owners in developing strategies to make their buildings more efficient.

BES’s clients include Gilbane, RISD, Amica, and Partner HealthCare in Boston. Antone said the company has exploded over the past five-plus years from just him and his co-founding partner to now a staff of 18.

He said one of the keys to the company's success has been building a strong network and cited Commerce RI's Supply Rhode Island Initiative which connects RI's largest companies with small businesses in RI that can offer solutions.

Antone says his firm’s work is a new discipline — the company works with the owner, architects or contractors on both existing structures and on new developments to ensure that their building is as well-produced for the long-term as possible.

BES does groundbreaking work — it has actively participated in groundbreaking work in the American Society of Testing and Materials (ASTM) and the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA).
