Brown University Senior Wants Kids to Learn STEM Through Sparkle Program

Amara Berry, a senior at Brown University, appeared on GoLocal LIVE on Wednesday to talk about STEM education -- and how the Sparkle Program, which she started, is encouraging youth between the ages of 5 and 15 to engage with STEM learning in a fun and encouraging environment.  

Berry told the story of how a high school teacher told her when she was struggling in Physics that she should go to beauty school -- and that she now plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Astrophysics following her graduation from Brown.
