Health Coverage, Retention, & Retirement - Nurses' Union on Battle with Lifespan

Frank Sims
Frank Sims, the President of UNAP Local 5098, appeared on GoLocal LIVE prior to the informational picket Friday afternoon at Rhode Island hospital - as the union of nurses and allied professionals seek a resolution with Lifespan.

UNAP and Lifespan are in the midst of contract negotiations, as the current three-year agreement expires on June 30.

"Lifespan brags about providing 'health with care,' but they couldn't care less about the nurses, technologists, therapists and support professionals who are being pushed beyond the limit and left without the resources they need to do their jobs," said Sims.

UNAP represents more than 2,400 nurses, therapists, technologists and other allied professionals at Rhode Island and Hasbro Children's Hospitals.
