Water Ways Exhibit Now Open at Providence Children’s Museum

The popular "Water Ways" exhibit at the Providence Children's Museum has been transformed into a new and imaginative waterplay exhibit.

The exhibit opened this past weekend, and will allow children of all ages to immerse themselves in the interactive exhibit which will allow them to:

-build mazes and dams

-form fountains by connecting pipes

-sculpt ice using tools

-paint evaporating watery designs on a slate wall

-send boats and other objects through vortexes

-transform the size and shape of billowing mist and water domes by controlling water valves

The waterplay in the exhibit invites children to problem solve, get creative, and challenge them to question their sensory surroundings. 

A series of programs exploring water will follow the exhibit and take place on weekends in November and December for families to enjoy designing and racing paddle boats, ice sculpting, and creating water art.

Norman Rockwell Museum

Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum
