Track 15 in downtown Providence is hosting a big Kentucky Derby party this Saturday - with everything from Mint Juleps to Southern mac-and-cheese pizza.

This week, GoLocal News Editor Kate Nagle caught up with Track 15's Kaitlyn Frolich to discuss the festivities, which start at 3 PM on May 2 and continue through post time shortly before 7 PM.

Activities for all ages include an interactive “Derby Finishing Touches Bar” that will give guests the opportunity to complete their Derby looks from a curated assortment of fascinators, hats, bow ties, and other Derby-inspired accessories.

There will be a striking Derby-inspired photo backdrop with a lush rose wall - the perfect spot for guests to show off their race-day looks as they sip traditional cocktails.

Specialty Derby drinks include Woodford Reserve Mint Juleps; Herradura Blackberry Margaritas; Old Fashioneds made with Old Forester Bourbon; Double Oak Woodford Manhattan; and Ford's Gin & Tonics.
