RI’s Deborah Saint-Vil Takes Top Talent Award in Miss America Prelims

Deborah Saint-Vil, Miss Rhode Island for 2011, has snagged top talent honors in Miss America Preliminary Competitions in Las Vegas.
The 2010 Brown University graduate (and daughter of Zin guitar player Eddie Saint-Vil) performed a vocal piece. By winning one of three talent preliminaries, she has secured a $2,000 scholarship from Amway Artistry, as well as national attention.
"She's deeply busy in all rehearsals right now," said Debbie D'Iorio, Executive Director of Miss Rhode Island, from Las Vegas, where the team gets ready for the live competition tonight, which will air on ABC-6 at 9pm tonight.
