The Providence Medical Orchestra (PMO) will perform its second-ever concert this spring.

The concert will take place on Saturday, May 11 at 7 p.m. at Brown University’s Salomon Hall.

“Orchestra has been such an integral part of my life, ever since I was in the third grade, trying my hand at the violin for the first time. Medical school can be hectic at times. Having a musical outlet through the Providence Medical Orchestra keeps me grounded and happy. I am so grateful that I can continue with something that adds so much value to my life with a group of people who share in my love for classical music,” said co-president Alice Huang.

Straight No Chaser at PPAC

If the phrase “male a cappella group” conjures up an image of students in
blue blazers, ties, and khakis singing traditional college songs on ivied
campuses... think again. Straight No Chaser (SNC) are neither strait-laced
nor straight-faced, but neither are they vaudeville-style kitsch. They have
emerged as a phenomenon with a massive fanbase, numerous national TV
appearances and proven success with CD releases.

Straight No Chaser is the real deal, the captivating sound of nine unadulterated human voices coming together to make extraordinary music that is moving people in a fundamental sense... and with a sense of humor. On the road, Straight No Chaser has built a reputation as an unforgettable live act.
