NAACP Providence will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education victory with two events. On Saturday, May 17, the Freedom Fund Breakfast will be held at the Providence Marriott. The Freedom Fund Dinner is scheduled for November.
Founded in 1909, the mission of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.
