Salisbury Farm

Salisbury Farm offers a variety of fall activities.

There's a tractor led hay ride to the pumpkin patch, snacks and drinks in their barn and a corn maze.

Salisbury Farm farm claims to have one of the very first corn mazes in New England.

The maze boasts more than a mile of paths within the five-acre corn field.

Four Town Farm

Located right outside Providence, close to I-195, Four Town Farm is a great spot for city slickers who can't quite make it to the wilds of Cranston or Johnston.

They also have a tractor ride out to the pumpkin patch, and if you call ahead you can schedule an educational tour as well.

Schartner Farms

Not only does Schartner Farms have a large pumpkin patch to select the perfect pumpkin from, but, like the next farm on the list, there is an extensive farm stand on the property where you can shop for local goodies to enhance your pumpkin picking experience.

If you're feeling really adventurous, drive up to Route 102 and take it north all the way to Slatersville for some beautiful scenery.

Confreda Greenhouses & Farms

Another wonderful drive for fall foliage is along Route 12 in Cranston, through Scituate and along the dam at the southern end of the Scituate Reservoir. Central to the drive is Confreda Farms.

In addition to the pumpkin picking, hay ride and corn maze, Confreda also offers amusement rides and games, along with a concession stand.

If you're looking for some evening fun, don't forget their long-running Scary Acres.

Frerichs Farms

A favorite among families is Frerichs Farm in Warren, RI.

Head down to the farm for “Pumpkinpalooza” which runs through September and October to take a ride on the Pumpkin Coach; take a look at some giant pumpkins; or visit the “western town.”

The fun of pumpkin patches is you can go multiple times up through Halloween... they're always fun.

Davis Farmland and Mega Maze

Davis Farmland not only offers the usual fall activities such as a corn maze and a pumpkin patch, but also features unique activities such as the Mega Maze and laser tag!

Opening in early August, Davis Mega Maze is New England’s only world-class, cornfield adventure maze and consistently one of the top 3 mazes on earth. Breezy Gardens

Each year, Breezy Gardens harvests more than 100 tons of pumpkins. Their pick-your-own pumpkin patch is fun for the whole family.

Breezy Gardens hosts an annual Pumpkin Festival. The festival runs every weekend in October. Admission is free.

Activities include:

Free Hay Rides- Take a tour through the scenic fields on your way to the pick-your-own pumpkin patch. Rides typically last about 15 minutes and are fun for all ages. Hayrides run from 12:00PM to 5:00PM each weekend of the festival, not including Fridays.

A Mini Corn Maze-Perfect for young children who love mazes! Open daily.

Pumpkin Decorating- After you return from the pick-your-own patch, sit down and decorate your pumpkin with stickers, markets, paint, and more!

Pick-Your-Own Pumpkin Patch- Accessible by taking the hay ride or by walking, it is open until 5:00PM everyday.

Face Painting- On select weekends, free face painting is offered.

Berlin Orchards

Berlin Orchards has everything-a pumpkin patch, tractor-pulled hay rides, face painting, pony rides, and farm animals.

Pony rides, face and pumpkin painting are offered on weekends from 11 am to 4 pm.

Also available are mums, cornstalks and hay bales for your autumn decorating needs!

Clearview Farm

On October 11, Clearview Farm will host their Pumpkin Fest and Pig Roast.

The festival will include live music by Amanda Cote, craft beer, children's games, pick your own apples with a hayride, pick your own pumpkins.

The scratch bakery will be fully stocked and cider is available.

Carter and Stevens Farm

Carter and Stevens Farm will present Harvest Fest on October 11.

Roger Williams Park Zoo Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular

Beautifully carved pumpkins light up the night at the Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo, October 2 through November 2.

The 2014 presentation, titled “Jack-O-Lanterns from A to Z,” will delight new and repeat visitors alike. Scenes filled with intricate pumpkin art will be arrayed in alphabetical order, with highlights from history and popular culture, and another section will honor inspirational figures.

Popular annual features will return, as well as the show’s dazzling grand finale, the Laughing Tree. Hundreds of glowing jack-o-lanterns on the ground and high up in the trees surround carved giants (well over 1,000 pounds) amid spooky fog and music, punctuated by its iconic catchy beat and laughter.
