July 4 has become a great tradition in America and a focal point of everybody's summer when families and friends get together and celebrate with fireworks and parades, hamburgers and hot dogs.

To help get the planning started, GoLocalProv has put together a list of parades and firework displays that you simply must see over July 4 weekend.
Fireworks will be on display and there will be live music everywhere at just about all these places and events.

Bristol 4th of July Parade
Bristol, RI
Bristol is home to the country's oldest 4th of July Parade. This year will be the 231st consecutive celebration which began in 1785.
This year, the parade begins at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Chestnut Street and Hope Street and will end on High Street, between State Street and Bradford Street.

Ancients and Horribles Parade
Glocester, RI
Come join as the Glocester locals come together and spoof local and national politics. This is the 90th annual parade and it is something completely different than a normal parade and will impress.
The Parade is set to step off at 4 p.m.

Arnold Mills July 4 Parade
The Arnold Mills Parade is equipped with a road race and a concert at Arnold Mills and Nate Whipple Highway.
The parade is set to begin at 11 a.m.
Meanwhile the road race takes place at 9 a.m. and the concert is set for 1 p.m.

Misquamicut Beach Fireworks
Misquamicut Beach in Westerly will host their annual firework display at starting at dusk on Independence day.

Warwick Fireworks
Warwick, RI
Warwick will host their annual fireworks display at the Oakland Beach seawall on July 1. The show will start at 9 p.m.
If you can't make it to the seawall, the fireworks can also be seen from City Park.

North Providence Fireworks
North Providence RI
Governor Notte Park will host a firework display starting at 9 p.m. on July 3.
Prior to the fireworks, there will be a food court as well as live entertainment starting at 6 p.m.
