Hi, I am Skyler! I am a 9 year old large sized senior sweet heart mixed breed. I am an easy going girl who enjoys going for a walk with my canine friends and then lounging around. I do resource guard from other animals so I would be best living as the only pet. I could walk and play with dog friends in the world as I enjoy their company. I have been around children and done well so a home with kids is A-OK with me! As I am an older girl, I do have some medical things that my adopters will need to keep an eye on. Hi there, my name is Prince. I am a 7 year old Pomeranian mix. I am a sensitive guy and have taken the transition into the shelter a little rough. I can be nervous with new people but once I am comfortable - I like sitting in laps and getting pet. Because I can be nervous with new situations and people, I would do best in a teens or adults only home. I have lived with dogs but am really humpy with them. My friends at PARL think it may be best if I was the only dog. I have no history with cats but if a dog savvy cat and patient adopter are willing to take it slow introducing us - I am willing to try! I have been very uncomfortable with medical examinations and treatments while in the shelter. Therefore I am going home with three free training sessions through PARL's LEAP fund to help my adopters work on muzzle training and address my handling sensitivities. Come meet me today!

My name is Pongo! I am a 6 month old pint sized, slender mixed breed. I was found as a stray with a Wound of Unknown Origin so my adoptive home will have some restrictions to it. I need to be the only pet in the home and will need to stay on the property of my home for the rest of my 5 month strict confinement. Therefore it would be best if I had a nice big backyard to play and train in! I am working on my basic obedience and love showing off my sits for treats! I would do best in a home with teens or adults only as I can still be pretty jumpy and mouthy when I am excited. If you are interested in me, come in and chat with staff about me!

Titan

Hi there, my name is Titan. I am a 10 year old American Staffordshire mix. I am a sweet, soft senior who is looking for a home to live his golden years out in. I would be best in a home with teens or adults only as I can be a little grabby about taking treats and toys. I do not like when dogs are in my space so I would be best as an only dog. My adopters will get three free LEAP fund training sessions to help gather tools of how to manage my behavior around other dogs. When I came to PARL, I had several bumps and lumps. The vet on staff removed them and biopsied them. They were low grade Mast Cell Tumors. Adopters will need to keep an eye on my medical health to see if any further lumps grow and be proactive about getting them removed. Sometimes stray cats come to PARL with wounds of unknown origin (WUO) from their time spent on the street. We can never know exactly what happened to these cats but we are dedicated to helping them find the safety and security of a new, indoor forever home with people to protect and love them! However, it's just a bit more difficult to re-home these WUO cats since there are certain legal requirements. We need to find adopters that will agree to follow some short-term restrictions in the new home. We put together this WUO Cat FAQ Sheet with more information about the process.
