Santana
Santana is a young, social girl who is very active. An active lifestyle will help Santana be the best she can be! A family willing to spend time working on Santana’s behaviors and helping her get out her energy in healthy way would be best for this girl.
She would do best in home as the only pet. No dogs. No cats. Teens and adults are best so that Santana's training can be as consistent as possible - she has displayed demand behaviors. We are doing our best to teach Santana alternate skills she can offer (like sit, sit stay) instead of barking. Santana is currently on Apoquel as her ears were very red/itchy and irritated. Bear
Meet Bear! He is a 3 year old German shepherd/chow chow mix! This lover boy would do best in a home with teen and adults as he has limited basic obedience skill and like to jump up on you to greet you. He enjoys walks and play time and could go home with another young, energetic dog. No cats for Bear. Interested in this fluffy boy? Come on down to PARL and meet him.
Mars
Meet Mars! We love Itty Bitty Pitties and she is no exception! Mars is about 2 years of age. She's an active girl with an enormous personality. She adores playing, goofing off and cuddles (preferably in that order). We recommend teens and adults and no other animals in the home for this gal. It best that Mars goes to a home with no other dogs, as she does have some issues with guarding.
This can be an issue transitioning into a home with other animals. However, once established in a home she can have dog friends, go to the dog parks and/or potentially live in a home with a dog in the future. We have Mars on some medication for itchy skin and ears so her new humans will need to continue treatment.
Josie
Meet Josie! Josie is 2 years old, super friendly and affectionate. Her energy level is high, so she would LOVE an active person who enjoys adventure time. Josie has walked with dogs here at PARL and done well! However, she has the tendency to overwhelm dogs with her exuberant greetings. Josie would do best in a home without other pets - but with further socialization and training, play dates with family/friends' dogs would be fun! Teens and adults are the best fit.
Calila
My name is Calila and I'm a 9 year old female looking for my forever home. I might be shy at first, but if you give me enough time to settle in I might just be your new best friend. Most people would describe me as a "Private Investigator". I'm working undercover to keep an eye on you and your household. You may not even know you're under surveillance. I can vanish into thin air if anyone or anything interferes with my investigation. If you need a cat who knows how to stay out of trouble and will always keep your secrets, I just might take your case.

I'm Salem! I'm a 3-year old male cat looking for a quiet, teen- and adult-only home with no other animals. I've been pretty shy in my adjustment to PARL, but give me a little quiet, together time and I just might make you my new buddy. A little catnip doesn't hurt either. In terms of my personality, I'm a secret admirer. When it comes to relationships, I'm very level-headed. I don't leap in paws first, if you know what I mean. But give me a little time, and then I'll shower you with purrs, head-butts, and plenty of lap time. In the meantime, you may not see a lot of me but I'll be thinking a lot of you!
