Alleged Fraudster Loffredo Violated Bail — Says, “I Strongly Deny the Allegations Against Me”
Wednesday was another chaotic day for Andrew Loffredo. He spent much of the day in a cell at the East Greenwich Police Department, then at the ACI in Cranston.
A series of GoLocal stories has unveiled that Lofffedo is accused of financial fraud, abusing his former girlfriend and children, and borrowing $475,000 from a former employee, the man's life savings.
As GoLocalProv reported earlier on Wednesday, Loffredo was arrested and charged with filing a false police report. Read About That Charge Below.

Loffredo was previously free on personal recognizance. Now, the court set bail at $3,000 in surety, which requires a $300 payment. At about 7 PM, Loffredo’s father posted bail at the ACI, and he was released.
On Wednesday night, Loffredo told GoLocal via text after he was released from the ACI, “I strongly deny the allegations against me. This is now an active legal matter, so I will not be commenting on details or trying the case in the media. I respect the legal process and will let the facts be addressed through the proper channels.”
“I ask that people withhold judgment and respect my family’s privacy as the legal system takes its course,” added Loffredo. “My father came and picked me up.”

Loffredo was charged with two domestic charges on April 10, 2026. The two charges are Cyberstalking and Cyberharassment, and Family Court Violation of Protective Order - 1st Offense.
According to a police report on the Filing of a False Report:
“On 05/20/2026 at approximately 0800 hours Ptlm. Imbriglio and I. Ptlm. Coogan, responded to the EGPD lobby for a male party, Andrew Loffredo, turning himself in on a warrant. Sgt. Petrucci confirmed the warrant and I escorted Loffredo into the cell block. He was booked, photographed, fingerprinted, and placed in cell M-1 to await transport to Kent County Court.
Loffredo had previously told East Greenwich Police that men had come to his home to try to kill him and/or his family.
He told GoLocal in great detail about the alleged events:
“I looked out the window, you know, I saw his car there with his lights on, so I went out to see what was going on. And as I opened the door (of his home), I saw two individuals. I have no lighting in my backyard, so I believe they were wearing all black, but, you know, because of how dark it was outside, I really couldn't see," said Loffredo.
"They were running towards the woods in my backyard, and I looked down and I saw a gun with a photo of my children in the chamber with their faces crossed off, and there was a note. Unfortunately, and as I expressed to the East Greenwich police officer who came up, I told them that I picked up the paper and the gun, and that my handprints were all over it. But as soon as I picked it up, I put it down. I mean, I was in shock,” added Loffredo.
Loffredo says East Greenwich Police and the Rhode Island State Police investigated the claim. He said drones and K-9 were deployed.
