A lawsuit has been filed in Providence Superior Court alleging fraud, forgery, and identity theft by Andrew Loffredo, III.

There are other claims against Loffredo that may be in the millions. And one of the documents put before the court states that the Rhode Island State Police has an open investigation against him.

The suit names not only Loffredo, but also more than a dozen companies associated with him, including the companies controlling well-known Cranston restaurants Caffe Itri and Campanella’s.

The suit was filed by Loffredo’s former girlfriend, Jill Pitcavage. The two had a relationship from April 2022 and had two children together. She claims she ended the relationship on or about April 3, 2026.

During the course of that relationship, he bought a mansion in East Greenwich.  Loffredo bought the nearly 6,000-square-foot home for $2 million in 2023. At the time is was the third most anyone had paid for a home in East Greenwich.

Her lawsuit asserts that "At all times material hereto, Pitcavage was engaged as a stay-at-home mother to her and Loffredo’s two minor children and did not participate in the running of any business owned by Loffredo."

The suit claims that Loffredo set her up with massive debt. "Loffredo informed Pitcavage that her signature was required on paperwork for the aforementioned property as it was being placed into an alleged “Trust” that Loffredo had set up for their minor children, of which Pitcavage was the one hundred percent (100%) beneficiary. Loffredo framed the process to Pitcavage as mere legal formalities and induced Pitcavage to sign, what is now known to Pitcavage as a Mortgage, Security Agreement and Assignment of Leases and Rents, in the amount of $455,000.00 for the aforementioned property which reflects Pitcavage as the Managing Member of Petrozzi Realty," states the suit.

In another example from Pitcavage's suit against Loffredo, she asserts that he forged her name on documents, thereby making her responsible for outstanding debts:

The aforesaid circumstances are such that the assets of Roses Italian Bakery LLC are falling into waste. Loffredo, as sole owner/member of Roses Italian Bakery LLC, by his actions and material misrepresentations to Chase Bank, caused Pitcavage to be identified as sole owner/member of Roses Italian Bakery LLC on the entity’s operating account at Chase Bank without her knowledge or consent.

The operating account at Chase Bank was recently flagged for suspicious and potentially fraudulent activity and the balance of the operating account is insufficient to support the operating costs of Roses Italian Bakery LLC.

Loffredo, as sole owner/member of Roses Italian Bakery LLC, made material misrepresentations to the Rhode Island Division of Taxation that Pitcavage is the responsible officer of the entity, Loffredo, as sole owner/member caused the entity to incur a tax debt with the Rhode Island Division of Taxation of approximately $638.51. Due to the nature of the actions undertaken by Loffredo, Roses Italian Bakery LLC has been “deadlocked.”

The lawsuit cites multiple other examples in the 39-page filing of financial fraud and carnage. Some of the debts assigned to her, which she claims she had no knowledge of, are for tens of thousands of dollars, according to the lawsuit.

The suit alleges in the case of Andrew IV Pizza and Pasta LLC d/b/a Campanella’s, numerous financial misdeeds including, "Loffredo, as sole owner/member of Andrew IV Pizza and Pasta LLC, by his actions, has incurred debts related to the business in Pitcavage’s name without her knowledge or consent in excess of $20,000.00 and the debts are currently in collections."

The suit claims five counts against Loffredo: identity theft, forgery, intentional misrepresentation/fraud, conversion, and unjust enrichment.

Pitcavage is not the only one with claims against Loffredo’s business interests; there are more court filings from other players.

In response, Loffredo disputed the claims and, in a 70-page filing with the Court, he opposed a motion to put the cadre of business interests into receivership. GoLocal tried to reach Loffredo by phone and text, and he did not respond.

Millions at Stake

An intervener in the legal action against Loffredo and the companies is Rett Holdings, LLC.

Stephen Soscia is listed as the manager for Rett listed in filings with the State of Rhode Island

"Loffredo mispresented documents, his purpose for the monies and mispresented information pertinent to Rett Holdings agreeing to provide millions of dollars in loans. Simply, Loffredo defrauded Rett Holdings and induced it to lend monies it otherwise would not have done so if Loffredo was honest and truthful about his intentions for the use of the loan proceeds," claims Rett in submission to the court.

Further, Rett claims in its filing to the court, “Specifically, Loffredo signed personal guaranties to Rett Holdings in consideration of loan amounts, which exceed millions of dollars. (emphasis added.) The Guarantees signed by Loffredo, amount to a significant amount of money. The total sum loaned to Loffredo from Rett Holding has not been collected in full. Therefore, Rett Holdings has an absolute right to intervene in this matter, as its interest in collecting Loffredo's personal assets will be affected through the adjudicatory exercise by this Court.
