“End of an Era,” Announces Tommy’s Pizza in Providence

It is the “end of an era” according to Tommy’s Pizza in Providence.
The Chalkstone Avenue institution took to Facebook on Monday to post the following.
“With Great Sadness. The Torch has been passed. 66 years. We Made Friends, Memories and More. More than 3 generations of Loyal guests and staff. End of an Era. The Legend, Tradition, Flavor and More continues. Tommy’s Cranston. 870 Oaklawn Ave,” wrote Tommy’s.

“Cranston is alive and well. All the details will be released soon. Thank you,” wrote Tommy’s.

On October 5, Tommy’s announced that “due to staffing,” it would be closing Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday that week; Tommy’s also announced on social media it would be closed on September 27.
There was no answer at Tommy’s on Chalkstone on Monday night; the Cranston location is closed on Monday.
