President Obama

The Obama administration is expected to reject TransCanada's application to build the Keystone XL pipeline, ending a seven year review.

The proposed pipeline was set to cover 1,179 miles and carry 830,000 barrels of carbon-heavy petroleum from the Canadian old sands to the golf coast.

This announcement will come in the wake of Obama's push to emphasize climate change policy.
