The Rhode Island Airport Corporation announced Tuesday that Breeze Airways will offer seasonal service between Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport (PVD) to Greenville-Spartanburg, SC (GSP) and Denver, CO (DEN) beginning in May.

“Since we started flying from Providence in 2021, Breeze has continued to add desirable destinations to our rapidly growing footprint,” said Breeze CEO and Founder David Neeleman. “These new additions to Colorado and South Carolina will surely be welcomed as we bring efficient, affordable, and elevated travel to underserved markets.”

Seasonal service to Greenville-Spartanburg on Mondays and Fridays will begin on May 3, 2024, while seasonal service to Denver on Thursdays and Sundays will commence on May 16, 2024.

According to the airport, the nonstop connection between PVD and GSP will also be welcome news to the Boston region, as Logan Airport does not currently offer any nonstop flights to Greenville-Spartanburg, SC.

“Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport is thrilled with Breeze Airways continued announcements of new, popular seasonal routes,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, President and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation. “In addition to new connections to popular leisure destinations for Southeastern New England, we’re pleased to see Breeze is growing their base of operations and adding new jobs!”

PVD now offers 17 nonstop routes provided by Breeze Airways. This development follows the recent news that Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport was named one of the Top Ten in the World by the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards for 2023.

PVD is also again in the running for the best domestic airport in Travel + Leisure (T+L) 2024 World’s Best Awards survey, which runs through February 26, 2024. “We welcome Breeze Airways’ ongoing development of service at Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport,” said  Jonathan N. Savage, chair of RIAC’s Board of Directors. “On behalf of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation Board of Directors, I thank Breeze Airways and all in Rhode Island’s leadership who have worked so hard to help make the growth of nonstop routes possible.”
