Malcolm "Kim" Chace was bigger than life. He was an innovative business leader who started a bank, built a boatyard and invested in the community. He was a throw back philanthropist that impacted Rhode Island in a plethora of ways. He was regularly listed on the Forbes magazine list of billionaires and he served on the board of Berkshire Hathaway, but it was his subtle touch that has made Rhode Island better. His recent death marks a transformation in RI and is a time to mark his legacy.
