Builders FirstSource announced it has as acquired Rhode Island-based Douglas Lumber.
The acquiring company is publicly traded and claims to be “the nation’s largest supplier of structural building products.”
“We’re excited to welcome two acquisitions to the BFS family! Douglas Lumber, Kitchens and Home Center, in Smithfield, [Rhode Island] has been providing quality building materials and service to contractors, remodelers, and homeowners throughout Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut for over 40 years.”
The company also announced it has acquired Nevada-based High Mountain Door and Trim.
Builders FirstSource is headquartered in Irving, Texas.
Steven Carlino, President at Douglas Lumber, did not respond to requests for comment at the time of publication.
Douglas was founded in 1976.
