2022 Limits for Health Savings Accounts and Out-of-Pocket Maximums - Slade

The IRS recently announced cost-of-living adjustments to the applicable dollar limits for HSAs and high deductible health plans for 2022. Most of the dollar limits currently in effect for 2021 will increase slightly in 2022.
The annual limit on HSA contributions will increase to $3,650 for self-only coverage and $7,300 for family coverage. That is roughly a 1.4% increase from this year.

In addition, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced the 2022 maximum out-of-pocket limits for non-grandfathered health plans. To comply with the ACA, non-grandfathered health plans cannot have higher out-of-pocket maximums for essential health benefits.
