Two of Rhode Island’s Biggest Design Stars Launch Handbag Collaboration

Two of Rhode Island’s biggest design stars have teamed up for a handbag collaboration — and now, you can buy their designs online.
Jewelry designer Nicole Romano and handbag designer Kent Stetson have launched the “Kent Stetson x Nicole Romano” collection, which features a metallic “feathered” crossbody clutch, jeweled chain wristlet pouches, and emerald crusted tote — and more.
Romano who grew up in Rhode Island, graduated from Rhode Island School of Design with a BA in Apparel Design, before she “forged ahead by launching her own multidimensional brand with the encouragement and mentoring of Nicole Miller and legendary Sex & the City stylist, Patricia Field.”

“I employ a team of highly-skilled artisans who work alongside me to produce each piece,” said Stetson. “Our Rhode Island workshop has a high bar for excellence, earning many awards.”
